“The call of death” . -- The funeral will be Monday afternoon Uriah M. Scott died last Wednesday evening from the effects of heart trouble and pneumonia. Mr. Scott has traveled over this and other states for years for the Wire & Nail Co. He was born in Bath County, Ky on Dec 25, 1834 and has resided here since 1841. His first wife, Miss Jennie Newell lived but a short time. He again married, Miss Addie Mitchell, who survives with one son, Will. He was a member of the ME Church, and two brothers and two sisters survive, Will Scott of this city; George Scott of Peoria; Mrs. Tom Bell of Indianapolis and Mrs. Murray Hills. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at the home. Until that time the remains can be seen by those who may desire to see them.
